Does ZED offer summer school for students?

ZED sponsors the following programs for students during the summer:

  1. The Area Learning Center offers a variety of content and elective courses during our summer school program. Students can earn up to 1 credit during a 4-week session. Students who are currently in 8th grade can also qualify for our high school program. Our summer programs are 4 weeks long and are a combination of independent and seat-based programming.

  2. ZED offers extended school year services for special education students who will experience severe regression, excessive time to recoup learned skills, or a lack of self sufficiency without some type of support during the summer. Services are based on individual pupil needs and the full special education team decides if the student is eligible. Parents will know well in advance of the end of the school year if this is appropriate for their child.

If your child is age three or older, contact your school district's Special Education Coordinator or the Early Childhood Special Education Teacher at the elementary school.
