Connections Program

Services Provided Include:

  • The Connections program assists to develop, enhance, and achieve the most appropriate level of behavioral functioning for the student within his/her own community. The program is designed to address the needs of students with more serious autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
  • Students in the Connections program have experienced significant difficulty in the general education environment and require unique programming in order to meet graduation requirements and to ultimately be as effective and successful as possible in their home communities during and after their school career.
  • Curriculum and instruction in the Connections program is focused on improving social skills and interpersonal communication, while continuing academic subject matter. Programming also focuses on developing the students’ self-advocacy and self-awareness skills, as well as their post-secondary transition skills.
