Special Education Director
The Zumbro Education District (ZED) is seeking applications for the position of Special Education Director. Responsibilities of this position include leadership, direction, and oversight of special education services provided within ZED and its member districts. The Zumbro Education District is located in Byron, Minnesoa and serves seven surrounding school districts. The total enrollment is over 10,000 students with 1,300 students served in special education. Special education services provided by ZED include birth to three home intervention, setting 4 EBD and ASD programs, transition program for students 18-21, low incidence staff, school psychologists, and OT and PT services. Position Purpose: This position exists to support Region 10 “Centers of Excellence for Young Children with Disabilities” (CoE) initiative in coordinating a high quality, comprehensive, coordinated system of professional development. This system includes regionalized support, technical assistance, and training for assigned local infant and toddler early intervention and preschool special education program leaders and practitioners, in order that young children with disabilities and their families achieve positive outcomes.


Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or related fields

The position does NOT require a valid ECSE teaching license; however, PDF must have completed at least 3 years of successful work in an Early Childhood Special Education or inclusive setting.

Salary: Depending on Experience
