• Implement applied academic curricula that teach for understanding. The applied curriculum is based on the concept that education is enhanced when students apply what they learn to real life situations.
• Coordinate and purchase career development and planning materials.
• Establish work-based learning opportunities that involve students in actual work experiences that connect classroom learning to careers. Opportunities available include: job shadowing, workplace mentoring, internships, and youth apprenticeships.
