GOVERNING BOARD
The Zumbro Education District (ZED) Governing Board is composed of dedicated and experienced individuals who provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the organization.
The Board's primary responsibilities include setting policy, overseeing financial health, and ensuring that ZED’s programs and initiatives align with our mission and values. Board members collaborate with the Executive Director to make informed decisions, establish long-term goals, and promote the organization's objectives and sustainability.
Our diverse group of member district leaders brings a broad range of skills and perspectives from their respective communities. Together, they uphold our commitment to transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of governance.
We are grateful for the guidance, support, and expertise of our ZED Governing Board and take pride in having such a strong group of individuals dedicated to advancing our mission and making a meaningful impact on the lives of our students and families.
The ZED Governing Board meets monthly, in person, every third Thursday at 6:00 PM. Meetings are held in the ZED main office conference room, located at:

ZED Governing Board Public Comment Guidelines
- All potential speakers must alert ZED Governing Board at henloe@zumbroed.org by Thursday at noon with their name, email or phone, and topic they want to discuss
- The Board Chair will recognize each member of the community to speak individually.
- After being recognized by the Board Chair, each community member is asked to approach the Board table and speak.
- Each speaker will be provided 3 minutes to make their comments. The Board Treasurer will keep track of time and provide notice when 30 seconds remain.
- The ZED Governing Board members will not respond or debate speakers during Public Comment
- Comments may refer to general information or board agenda items. Personal attacks against students, staff, parents, or board members are prohibited.
