Welcome to Zumbro Education District (ZED) and please take time to explore our website and array of services.  My name is Patrick Gordon and I serve as the Executive Director for ZED. I previously served as a special education coordinator with Pine Island Public Schools, and lead special education teacher within the Rochester and Chisago Lakes School Districts. Additionally I serve as an adjunct teacher in the graduate special education program at St. Mary’s University.  My education background includes a BA degree from Lake Forest College (IL), a master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas (MN)  and my Director of Special Education license from the University of Minnesota.

ZED’s mission is to promote educational success for all students. We currently provide a wide range of services and collaboration with our member districts who include Triton,  Kasson-Mantorville, Byron, Blooming Prairie, Stewartville and Hayfield. ZED also houses its own programs located at 2002 N. Mantorville Ave, Kasson, MN, which include a setting IV school, an area learning center, and a transition program.  Our main district office is also located there.

ZED has a rich history in southeastern Minnesota and has been in existence for over 25 years. Our staff are very talented professionals who offer innovative methods for positive student outcomes.
