Choral Festival

  • The ZED Choral Festival rotates among the six ZED school districts.  High school choirs from these districts perform individually and then combine their talents for the finale. There is no charge to attend this event and everyone is invited for an evening of fun and entertainment.

The ZED Choral Festival was held on October 17, 2022 at the Byron High School.  After two years of canceling this event, the concert was finally held!  Around 300 students participated in this special event.  The evening began with a Mass Choir number - “On My Own” from Les Miserables, and ended with “Do You Hear the People Sing?” also from Les Miserables. Each school performed their own songs.  Blooming Prairie was not able to attend this year due to a scheduling conflict. It was a fun evening with beautiful music!  Thanks to our choir directors who do a great job with these students!  They are:  Blooming Prairie - Kari Bottin; Byron - Katie Krueger; Hayfield - Megan Lynch; Kasson-Mantorville - Andrew Faller; Stewartville - Nicholas Johnson; and Triton - Andrew Wotherspoon. Music and the fine Arts are a very important part of our schools!  Let’s continue to support them in every way we can!
