The Science Fair is open to all students in grades 4 through 6. Projects must meet the ZED Guidelines and be individual projects to qualify for the ZED Science Fair. It is rotated among the ZED schools each spring.
The 2024-2025 ZED Science Fair was held at Kasson-Mantorville Middle School on Thursday, April 3, 2025. 120 4th-6th grade students participated in the Science Fair this year, from Blooming Prairie, Byron, Hayfield, Kasson-Mantorville, Stewartville and Triton. Students had the opportunity to attend two Oxbow Park/Zollman Zoo presentations when they were not having their projects judged. The presentations were 'Totally Turtles' and 'Owls and Birds of Prey'. ZED awarded 104 1st Place Ribbons, 15 2nd Place Ribbons and 1 3rd Place/Participation Ribbon.
