ZED Summer Academy is a one-week half-day summer opportunity for gifted and talented students who have completed grades 3-6. Students must be recommended by staff from their local districts in order to attend.
The Nineteenth Annual ZED Summer Academy Program was held June 10-14, 2024 at the Kasson-Mantorville Middle School.

Scholarships
ZED would like to make the Summer Academy program available to those students who meet the eligibility criteria and also have a financial need to be able to attend. Scholarship application forms are included in the Summer Academy Booklet sent to eligible students.
Student Helpers
Each instructor will have a student to assist them with their class. Students applying to work as a Helper for the ZED Summer Academy must be 14 years of age or older by the start of Summer Academy to be considered. Student Helpers will be paid an hourly wage for the week. If interested in applying, complete the online form and click ‘Submit’. If you have not been requested by a ZED Summer Academy Instructor, you will also need to send a letter of reference written by a person, other than a relative, to the ZED District Office. The letter of reference can be mailed to: Zumbro Education District, Student Helper, 2002 N Mantorville Ave, Kasson, MN 55944. You can also email the letter of reference as an attachment to bhuemoeller@zumbroed.org.
Applicants that have already been chosen by a ZED Summer Academy Instructor only need to complete SECTION 1 of the online application.
